my 03 chevy single cab 2wd short bed is in need of tires i have goodyear wranglers on it size 235/75/R16 right now and they did pretty good, got about 35,000 out of them and still have a little bit of life on them.

im wanting to go up to 245/75/R16. i drive 80 miles a day so they need to be a good highway tire but also can handle the rain and a little bit of ice or snow (i will drive the blazer in real bad weather conditions)

any brands are welcome i will consider any

my budget is $170 a tire but am willing to go up to $200 if i have to.

so lets hear what yall have had good success with. and this is what the tires are going on.

I have run the BFG mud terrains and of the 3 sets I have owned, I never got less than 60,000 miles out of them. First set were 33's and the other 2 were 35's. I just bought some 37's to put on my 91 burb. I swear by BFG tires.

can't go wrong with either BF, mall or mud....

the MTR seems to hold up well on the street too...

Michelin LTX/MS's I've got them on my Tacoma along with a set of BFG AT's. I keep swapping back to the Michelin's.

My Suburban has Toyo AT's on it.. and they are a nice riding street tire, do good in the snow and rain too.

im liking the BFG's but really dont want to go with to much of an agressive tread just because its all highway and i need to get the best fuel milage i can get.

i was thinking these what yall think

i really like toyo open country mts, ive heard of those goin for 50k miles, a little pricey but over all cost ratio may make it worth it?

www.tirerack.com, select your size and use, and then start reading the reviews.

I've never owned a 2wd but don't be like my buddy and put total crappy traction HT's on your DD...then go get stuck on wet grass in a depression. There's some good semi-AT's out there that wouldn't look bad on a 2wd and do daily driving just fine.

I have Bridgestone Revo tires on both my blazer and my dd. The are rated well and are very quiet on road. I drive alot and on my dd tacoma prerunner double cab long bed I got 55,000 on my first set.

Ditto on the michelin ltx tires, I have always liked them, they are a long lasting well made tire:thumb: Had them on my old 3/4 ton burb, a lot of people like these tires for towing as well.

and that truck with the arrival blue paint is gorgeous! By far my favorite color chevy ever put on a truck

thanks thats one of the reasons i wanted it, came through the chevy dealership while i was working there and when i did the check in on it i fell in love.

03 with the 4.8 in it, pw,pl,ls package, leather, steering wheel controls and rear disk brakes. and i loved the color, if it would have been 4 wheel drive i would have died and gone to heaven.
