/forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gifi have been saving up for a while and calling all kinds of places looking for the right kind of tire, i want 37"or38" good street wear,Its quite a drive from here to the mountians!!, and good off road preformance i was considering the procomp x terrain cause the tire guys said it getts real good wear, but some guys on here said its crap, help please thanks /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Those procomps are too damn expensive. Some MTRs or BFGs would be nice though you might have to step up to 17" rim.

I've ot 37" ssr's but haven't mounted yet.

do the ssr's have good street wear? what about the mtr's? im assum ing these are from interco?

Get the mt/r's from goodyear. Very good street wear, and very good offroad. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

also what about irock? are they to soft for the street? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Stay away from the Pro Comp tires. I know two people who have them and they got horrible street wear. I agree with everyone else. MT/R's or BFG Muds are the way to go, IMO.

The SSR's wear extremely well on the road for how aggressive they are. I had a set of 33's for a long time and put 20,000 miles on them with 5/8 tread still left when I sold them. They rode and handled better than my old BFG's IMHO. They clean well in the mud and are a decently sticky tire. The MT/R's are terrible in the mud from what I hear.
SSR's look better too IMHO.

If you want decent street manners you really don't want any Swamper. The SSRs are probably your best bet if that's what you want though, but they're very expensive compared to the other tires mentioned.

I personally would get the BFG muds. I've had them in the past and they're a great tire.

MT/Rs don't suck in the mud, in fact they're quite the contrary. They weren't designed for mud, but they do just fine in mud.

sweet you guys rock but its all tied up between mt/r's and ssr's.........guess it will come down to price /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If you go with SSR's go with the 16" variety. There sidewalls are alot tougher. I personally like my MTR's for the DD & offroad mix I do. I have a picture I will upload in a little while. It is my drivers rear tire holding onto a rock with only the sidewall traction. It is pretty sweet.
