Hey all. It's almost that time, for me to pony up the dough for new shoes, and was wondering your thoughts on my dilemma. Right now I've got 33"s on an 89 w/10 bolt 3.73s and a gov lock. I'm getting 12-14mpg also. I was considering moving up to 35" so any thoughts on gas mileage, chances of survival for my little 10 bolts (30 spline), and general driveability

from what ive read 35's are pushing the limit on 10 bolts but i could be wrong and im sure someone will chime in and let me know

as for gas mileage...im guessing that bigger tires = more rotating mass = lower gas mileage

77 K5 4" Lift. I went to 35s and cant see a difference in gas milage. I plan to get rid of my 10 bolt soon So I am not woried about bracking it. although 13 months with freeway driving and no problem.

Yeah I figured that the gas mileage and the ten bolts would be a little more taxed but I'm hoping for some been there done that kinda expertise:o

I had 35"s on my old truck (85 1/2 ton chevy) w/o probs but I'm wondering if I just got lucky.

I ran 35's for quite a while on my front 10blt. The Burb drove great on them and the 10blt wil do fine as long as you keep your foot out of it.
