Just purchased new bf goodwrench tires for my jimmy. Noob question? do you need to get 4 wheel alignment on them. From few shops ive talked to its like a 50/50 coin flip. Truck drives almost straight on flat ground. lil pull to right. Now ive only owned cars and always got 4 wheel alignment. And must say I ****ing Love My Big Truck!!!!!!

They can only adjust the toe on the front wheels. Did your old tires show any signs of abnormal wear? if not then its not neccessary. Pulling to the right is normal since roads are rounded.

you cannot get a 4 wheel alignment with a solid rear axle. However they will still charge you the same more than likely :D.

You haven't stated what truck you have. So, in most cases, it's a front end alignment only.

Some say it's not necessary, I say it's cheap insurance. If I spend 800 on a set of tires (mine cost 1300) I would want to know they are gonna wear as straight as possible and last as long as possible. Also, an out of alignment vehicle can use more fuel. Alignments are a maintenence procedure and should be done once a year, at least if you live here in the great state of Taxachussetts where the taxes are high and the roads are crappy.

Actually:
If you do check for 4 wheel alignment sometimes you will find that the rear axle is a little off and it could show a problem with frame or spring hangers, which would allow the truck to "dog track".
If it's minor then you are OK but I have had trucks that pretty much had the rear tracking 2" left of the center.
It's true you can not change toe or camber on the rear axle but you can find and correct this issue.
Now unless you notice it in your side mirrors, I wouldn't bother with it but I did notice it on that truck, and it turned out to be a bent rear spring. A change of springs got it fixed.

Please do crupt me in the ways of the 4X4!!! I have a v1500 4x4 jimmy. Its pulls to right just a lil bit. Thinking I should get the alignment being I dont know what the former owner did to truck. Thx for all help so far, Ill keep picking your brains for more answers when something comes up.

well, when you pay someone else to mount your tires and align your truck, pay them to disassemble, grease and inspect your front wheel bearings
