New to forum and a couple of Blazers

Not sure at all about motor to be honest. He had told me years ago he thought he screwed the cam up, but he told my uncle he had sucked a piston. Then I spoke with a neighbor who said he drove it home one day and never drove it again. He told neighbor it was his and my mom's and he was retiring it forever, kinda hard to know what to believe at this point. I also found a scribbled note he wrote in some paperwork that said the same about it being retired. He was an odd one at times. The neighbor had occasionally turned motor over but did not actually start it whenever he did some chores at the house he told me. Nothing since then. He gave me money specifically for an engine last year prior to passing when I was asking about getting vehicle running but I was asked not to due anything till he was gone

As for the black one I do not care for it but it does start right up . I use it for getting around up there and 4wheels up the road to the cabin no problem down the road. Here some of the engine bay. It deserves a new motor20260106_160215.jpg20260106_160221.jpg20260106_160227.jpg20260106_160236.jpg20260106_160240.jpg20260106_160246.jpg

Save the oil to put on the new engine so people cant tell its new when you pop the hood.

Looks like you have a real nice original k5 there brother.

Factory hose clamps, factory jack and tools. All of the Air Conditioning parts there. Except the belt. Which could just be so defrost would work in the winter without the compressor coming on. Yes it is dirty and looking neglected. But that truck looks amazing to me!

She's been used. Inside dirtier than the outside to me. Been up in the sierras outside of Sacto for the last 45 years or more. They used the 94 mostly though once they bought it. I look forward to getting a new motor in it and get it road worthy. Going to clean it up next trip there in a couple of weeks on the outside.View attachment 530929View attachment 530930
Why are you replacing the engine on the 77?
