Greetings. I am based in Beirut LEBANON I am classic cars collector and fan. my recent purchase from USA is 1979 Chevrolet Blazer K5 2-door 4x4 Not lifted or modified been told mostly original had 1 Repaint and has dual exhausts.. 50K original miles as been told. Asking price was 23K I got it for 20K . Its still in USA waiting complete shipping formalities. I appreciate any opinions here is my Blazer http://babish.ebizautos.mobi/detail-1979-chevrolet-blazer-k5_2~door_4x4-used-17323787.html

Just one thing.

I would reroute the exhaust. Exiting under the rear bumper draws the exhaust fumes into the cab. Route the tailpipes under the rear quarter panels, this will prevent that

I do notice in the photos of my 79 Blazer I see front locking hubs. I guess thats Not Factory could the full time 4wd been converted to part time ? thanks

that should have had the thm350/203 combo, so someone probably put a part time kit in the 203 and locking hubs...a good move.
get rid of the running boards, looks like a nice ride.

Hey Alan.
Welcome to ck5
What part of Beirut?
I am from Fanar, but now living in the US.
I am surprised you bought one here, you couldn't find one over there.
I used to have couple before I came here.

No the engine is the 305 2B the original and original auto trans been told. the claimed actual 50K miles could be true ? as We know these old odometers are 5 digit so No guarantee! I also understand original transfer case was full time so they have modified it to part time with locking hubs ? now the transfer case shift lever positions will be different ? thanks.

he ment th350 transmission and np203 transfer case in the 350/203 comment .

only thing that scares me is what part of Pennsylvania did it live ? the mid to lower areas of the sate are o.k. but the upper and western edges get nasty winters and salt on the roads for rust to start on these vehicles.

looking at what small pics I could see on the original listing it does look real clean for the age .

welcome to the best / nicest C/K trucks / blazers / suburbans on the internet . :waytogo:

By the way did anything change in the import laws? No older than 8 years or classic 40 years or older.
You are 1 year from that now.
