Picked up this 91 1500 last night. 165,000 miles and a new RC 6" all spring lift. Its pretty solid which is getting harder to find around here. Has one or two spots on the rockers that are just starting to bubble, and some rust on the passenger quarter at the wheel arch. Has bald 33's on it and also came with the stock rallys with 35's. Has a bad power steering leak, and the steering is really loose. Overall I am very happy with it.

Just ordered new SoffSeal door seals. Got them through Jegs.com and saved $20 a pair on them! Also picking up new power steering lines today to try and stop the huge leak.

Swapped the stock rims and 35x12.50 Discoverers on it. Also found out the the front driver side spring bushing is worn out letting the spring move, possibly from the power steering fluid leak. A new pressure hose and the leak is gone. Now to find the cause of the wet floor boards. Looks like it is coming in from the kick panel area.

What did you give for the truck?

I gave $2500 for it. It isnt perfect but after looking at several Blazers and Suburbans around the area, it is alot better shape then most in my price range. I was also surprised to see how complete it is. The original spare tire is still in place with the original plastic still on it, and the original GM cassette tape is still in the glove box.

Well, all of the front and rear spring bolts were loose. I think this was the main issue with the steering. It will need a new steering box but it definitely has alot better road manners now. I will probably add a drop pitman arm to go with the raised steering arm to level out the link.

Looks good, man:thumb:

I've always thought a 6" lift looks right on a lwb rig. Dig the ralleys too...

That sounds good to me for what you got.

So im starting to diagnose the reverse lights and why they dont work. First thing I did was go to check and adjust the neutral safety/reverse light switch...Its not even there. The PO had hacked in a steering column and looks like they never installed the switch and must have jumped the wires together for the neutral safety. In further looking, all of the cruise control equipment is there except it is a non-cruise column.

My question now is, if I pick up a neutral safety switch, what type/size screws or bolts are used to mount it to the column? And what wires should I be looking for to be attached for the reverse light circuit?
