well the guy i purchased the I.R. compressor and SKAT blast box from texted me today and said stop down he was ready to sell the next big item to me . 1982 honda ATC 70 with under 10 hrs max on it if that . purchased brand new for his 6 year old son in 1982 at the local dealer and 3 or 4th time riding around the yard he crashed in to the house down spout and stalled it and never wanted to ride it again . so dad stuck it up in the 2nd level of the 4 bay barn/garage at the house . now he is down sizing and getting ready to move so he is selling off lots of stuff . the tank needs a good clean out and sealup job from surface rust for sitting so long . and the carb he cleaned all up just didnt put back on yet . the tires still have mold flashing rubber on them . the seat is still soft and flexy not stiff and brittle . the chrome needs a light clean up and 2-3 scuffs on the red and stickers . worst spot was right rear fender kissed the tire ( super comon on these ) . otherwise i cant wait to run it around and have some fun . note the plastic still under the seat on the rear . the original sale flyer and owners manual in the bag still with it . these things are bringing CRAZY money on ebay right now . i got a good friend ship with this guy and pay his fair prices and dont try and beat him down so he took care of me knowing it still needs a little bit to run again .
go check ebay prices and report back i can buy a few dana 60's on the east coast with the prices there getting for these . there is a 4 wheeler unit new in ship crate still and its current price is 19,200 bucks
took a hr or 2 today to lube up the chain and it now rolls a lot quieter as it was dry and the old oil a bit stiff / sticky . then i hooked up a small bottle and hose to feed the carb and after 6-8 pulls on the pull start cord she was purring like a little honda does . picked up some B.B.'s and a tank cleaner / sealer kit for the fuel tank thats nasty inside from sitting all these years . the kit does up to a 5 gal tank so i am going to clean and seal the honda 200s tank i have with a few pin holes also at the same time to make the most of the kit and use it all up . cant wait to rip the little monster around and have some fun .
So sick. I have more ATC's than I'd care to admit. Nothing more fun than ripping one of these 70's around.
Guy in town has a racer moded one with a 210 big bore kit on a 150 swap motor engine . Said it's hard to hold on at 65-70 mph .
85 250R punched to 310, 84 200X, 85 200X, 84 110 with the limiter screw still in it, 74 70, 87 250SX. Only time they get ridden is when we are in baja. Stupid fun to say the least.
That's nice!!! I wanted one of those so bad when I was a kid. Started collecting 3 wheelers pretty hard for many years as an adult... probably cause we couldn't afford one when I was little. Thinned the heard several years back and only kept my Honda 350X.
