today for me tho I had to go find a 46mm socket and a medium truck pitman arm puller tool . as I had to have them for the lift kit I was installing on a 2012 dodge 2500 crew cab long horn edition .
the newer trucks are using massive over kill on some parts .
While it may seem like overkill, it really isn't. My truck goes through tierod ends about every 30K miles with the way the roads are here in jersey. That's buying the better stuff too. Course the big ass Fab-Fours bumper with grill guard doesn't help any I'm sure.
Every dodges 2500 at work between year of 2008 to 2013 that we have. It becomes a regular maintenance to replace balljoints. Now I can change one side in an hour or less. Still sucks!
