When I got my truck it didn't have any towhooks in the front. Like many of us I tried the cheapie auto parts store hooks, and they were fine, but I wanted a set of factory hooks because I've had them in the past, and they seemed to be pretty strong. However I started reading some things here and decided to go with something bigger, with a closed loop. I did some searching on the 'bay and found some f-250/350 factory hooks for around $20, and figured "I'll make 'em work".

So, what do you think?

yeah, not bad at all. they probably will get less use than the did on the ford. haha. on another note, did you put bedliner on your grille and body? pretty cool, if so. i've only seen a few like that in person.

I like it.

I have picked up a set of those also and was trying to figure out how I was going to mount them.

Any problems I need to lookout for when mounting the hooks there?

The only concern I came up with is that there isn't much frame material in front of the front bolt, but I bolted them through the frame and bumper bracket, so there is plenty of metal there (the bumper bracket). The other two bolts are back far enough not to worry about.
