More info? Its a 4l80e trans, 14bolt FF rear, vortec 454, and it will pass everything but a diesel or a gas station.

Sweet truck !

its the cowboy limmozine!!LOLthanks i'll hopefully have pics by saturday

do u know of any good websites for the ifs trucks??

Lever shift or push button?

The IFS board here is slow, but the garage gets most IFS quesitons answered. Haven't found a better site.......shoot, im almost at 1000 posts, and i don't hang in the lounge, or have an SFA truck.

Yep, but may take a little bit of time. Up to a couple min if its cold. If it never lights up, either you got a burnt out indicator light, or need a new front actuator.

Weren't too many for that truck, in teh 1 ton variety. I'd try dick cepek.

look for a 1 or 2 peice sub frame drop kit thay are stronger. and if you dont like the slow thermal or electric actuator then get a posi - lock kit.

Was 97 a thermal? It was either 97 or 98 they went electronic....but yes, a posi lock is more reliable than either.
