New truck

Picked up a 2000 GMC Sierra Z71 off Craigslist for a good deal. It has a real good body, interior needs cleaning, CEL, ABS, and Service 4wd lights were all on. Brought it home and replaced the fuel pressure regulator to resolve the CEL. Resoldered the 4wd switch to resolve the service 4wd light. Haven't had a chance to check into the abs light yet. 235k miles, runs and drives great. Now I just need to cleanup the interior.

It's strange to see that year truck with rocker panels and wheel wells intact


I had one in 2wd. Liked it but got rid of it before the rust was really visible and it was still worth something.

I plan to leave it pretty much as is. I may tighten up the torsion bars a little since it seems really low in the front.

The truck I went to look at before this one had rust. And was $1k more. This one is rust free.

Low miles for me. My other Vehicle is a 99 Toyota 4Runner 286k miles

I'd damn near sell my soul to find something as solid as that. Trucks in the $20k range are even rusting out around here.
