Hey guys,
I just replaced the window regulator because the other one would not move without vise grips. I got a new regulator and handle from LMC. The original regulator had a screw hole that the handle screwed into. The new regulator uses a pin. The problem is, the new handle does not go far enough into the door panel for the clip to catch.

I really do not want to have to cut the bezel on the door panel to make it fit. Is there a longer handle that I can purchase? How is this suppose to work?

Those look like aftermarket door panels. The round lip where the handle screws looks thicker than the stock panels. You might try pushing the panel against the inside of the door to see if it makes room to get the handle on.

Hey Brian,
You were right! It just took a little extra force, but it is in there now.
Thanks a bunch!

1972 uses a different window regulator than the '69-'71 models to match the deeper door panels.

It sounds like you might have used the wrong regulator.
