I've been hunting a work truck for the past few months to relieve the blazer of work duties and reduce wear and tear.
I was cruising CL and this popped up at a salvage yard a few miles from my house. Insurance company totaled it because of the front and rear bumper. I went to check it out and was pleasantly surprised when it started right up and with zero smoke/weird noises. Made a deal with the dude including a new used front bumper, receiver hitch and a grocery list of other things to get it looking right. Along with a set of hydraulic manual pedals from an '85....... He didn't know what he had.
The service body is in decent shape, although i'll have to put new lock cylinders in a few doors.
3 NEW 10 ply tires.
The interior is absolutely trashed, it was a utility truck; go figure.
I'm pretty happy with the purchase, now i'm just waiting on the rebuilt title to come back so I can register it!
