I am new to this site. I just bought a 1ton GMC. I have several questions.
1.Will I have to lengthen the drive shafts with a 6" lift?
2.Any other drive line mods?
3.What will longer front shackles do for me?
4.What front springs would you use if going to a Cummins?
5.Will a rear shackle flip decreas the load capacity of my 1Ton.
6.Who has the best stainless steal brake lines?
7.Thoughts on doing rear disks on the 14boltFF?
8.Does anyone have experience with the swamper truxxus mt?
9.I think I'll stop here. For now.

Have been, but get conflicting answers to some question. This may just be a difference in opinion, but his is the most knowledgeable site on the internet.

Do a search develope your idea and then post the idea and ask for advice widdle the many ideas down to 1 or 2 that you feel will work best for your type of wheeling then ask. Like you said you have gotten conflicting answers and this is the largest fullsize chevy data base on the net that I have found. There are many people and therefore many different opinions on this site so you kinda have to develop your own. And as far as the search I had to I have been on here almost 2 years and were my first. If I rambled I apologize. :D

not a whole lot of help but i haven't heard of anyone complaining about the swap to disc brakes on their 14bff.
Not 100% sure but willing to be you're going to have to lengthen your driveshafts.

WELCOME

I have heard positive reports on the Truxxus MT'S....35,000 miles from some of the contracters in my area running the 315/70R16 size....

Here are a few that I can answer cut and dry.
1. Yes will have to lengthen driveshafts.
2. No other mods other than steering with a lift.
3. Longer front shackes will gain you a little lift but will turn your front pinion down also.
7. Rear disk a one of the best bang for you money mods. IMO. I love mine.
