Newbie Question

I hope this question isn't too dumb. Is there anything preventing bolting an older 73-75 Blazer tub on a newer frame (89-91)? Thanks.

Yeah, the frames are different. 73-77 had no footwell behind the front seats and the frame rises upwards closer to the front of the truck than the 78-91 frames. In 78 GM added a rear footwell behind the front seats, which changed where the drop in the frame was. They also re-arranged the mid body body-mounts...going with a pair of outboard mounts versus the two inboard mounts off of a cross member for the 77 and older K5's.

It's not impossible to do the swap...just a pain in the a@@ to overcome a few things like mentioned. Older body on a newer frame is definitely easier than the other way around. You'll still need to fabricate a riser/crossmember for the #3 postion body mounts though.
