A few days ago I saw a (unknown year) dodge ram 2500 w/ the CTD, I looked at it, and the axle was drivers side input, instead of passenger side like the rest of chevy/gm and dodge are. Or am I mixed up? Or did someone just swap out the factory axle?

They went to a driver side drop Dana 60 in 1994 IIRC. It went driver side the same year they got rid of the leaf springs and went to the nicer coil suspension system under the 2nd gen body style like mine.

1994+ Dodges are Driver Side high pinion axles

[/ QUOTE ] They are not hi pinion D60's, standard pinion. The fords had the driver side HP 60.

hmm thought my buddy's 2500 has a High Pinion 60, will have to take a look at it next time I'm over there.

Yeah , the "Hibrid Dana 60's" started around year model 2000 - when the ball joints started to be located in the housing "C" instead of the knuckle. Before that the 1994 to 1999 were just low pinion ball joint C.A.D. 60's .
