Newer for older dash.

Is it possible to swap out a later model dash for an earlier one? Reason being, I really want to get rid of this little thing on the passenger side end. The older ones are just flat and the edges are round. I'm planning on doing diamond plate where the stainless is and it would be really hard to make it do this. Any issues I might run into?

sub frames are diffrent that thay attach to.

Can the subframes be swapped over? Or would that require cutting?

I don't know how indepth I'm willing to go with this (cost and effort vs. return)

I have put newer on older . The tabs don't all line up . Drivers side had to be broke off .

So to put old on newer you won't have a tab on drivers side to begin with .
