On the budget minded hunt for some 17" wheels and tires.

I've been scouring Craigslist and there are a lot of take-off's for reasonable prices, a lot of the tires are like new and come in a set of 5.

I had some issues with a set of 8 lug aluminum dodge wheels, the inner part of the wheel would rub on the TRE's of the D60. I probably could have clearances the inner part of the wheel with a flapper disc but that may throw it out of whack and be a pain in the add to balance.

Does anyone know of any newer model wheels that will clear without rubbing?

I have h2 hummer wheels on mine without any issue. I choose to grind down the small lip on the wheel hub rather then the hole in the wheel. They fit on the 14bff fine, and were perfect on the 8-lug 10b before.

had h2 rims on my gm dana 60 .

buddy has a diffrent set than mine of h2 rims on his gm dana 60 and even has ruffstuff hd tie rod kit and no problems.

I found some H2 wheels locally but the wanted $500... I'd rather get a set of black steelies for that price.

Attached is a pic of the ones I'm looking at buying if I don't find anything used.

I should clarify, I have a srw GM Dana 60. Running 3/4ton brakes with brackets from lugnut4x4. No tie rod issues, no spacer issues. Only had to grind hub vs enlarge hub hole in wheel. H2 wheels. The wheels are lug centric, so make sure you get the proper tapered lugs. Same as 3rd gen dodges.

Also for what it's worth the going rate for h2 wheels only, no tires is $300/set around here. I got mine with decent 315 bfg's for $500, they make for nice street meats
