Newer TBI intake on my 88\" TBI motor(Help me! help me!)

I posted this before, but Only one person replied, I dont dought his answer, but I would feel more confident if I had more replies. I have a TBI intake off of a cop car. The guy I got it from said I need to get a different distibuter; one that was for the newer roller cam motors. I just bought a holley TB,cuz the wires are falling apart and The tuck isnt getting gas consistantly. and I want to do both swaps at one time. Do I really need to change anything.

No as long as your current distributor matches you current cam and there is a distributor hole in intake , your good to go. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Not at all. The material that the cam gear is made from differs between flat tappet and roller cams, but the size remains the same. You can even swap distributors between small blocks and big blocks. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
