Nice '74 K5 on eBay in PA. Not a very knowledgable seller.

Nice looking truck. My favorite quotes (false statements) are these:

It also has the Automatic Transmission with the full-time four wheel drive. These were not as common as the Non-full time

K5s with automatic transmissions came with full-time 4WD standard up until '75 or '76. Only in the manual transmission did the part-time 4WD (Non-full time :rolleyes:) come standard. He's got it backwards.

Also has a rare off road package that includes boxed in skid plates under the driver and passenger floor boards

Every full-top K5 I've ever seen including the two I've owned had that "rare" off road package. They're called rocker boxes and they help support the body and minimize flex especially when the top is off. Numbskull.

If you don't know, just make something up! At least this is pretty benign stuff. I'd still check it out.

:haha::haha:

I wish I would have seen that about a month ago...That is in South central PA by the way...Pretty nice truck, in pretty good shape for around here anyways:rolleyes:

Well that explains it, I had a 73 a while back and apparently it must not have had that special "off road package" , I thought the rocker boxes had just rotted out:rolleyes:

Auto with 203 (fulltime) was right up til '79. Manual's got the 205...except for '74(only year for the 564/203). 80 was 205 no matter what tranny you got, 81-88 was 208, then 241 til 91.

Rocker boxes...duh, 73-75. I have heard of some early '76's still having rocker boxes even with the half cab, but that was a changeover thing I think.

It is in spectacular shape for the rust belt!!

Yep, my buddy bought his 79 because it was the last year of the 203 full time setup.

Rene, are all 81 up 208's? If so I may be in trouble with my new driveshaft.

I'm pretty sure the K30's still got the NP205. Wes might chime in here as that is more his area of expertise. You could pm him for confirmation...

ThatK30Guy...in case you didn't know who i meant.
