I was always curious how anyone could sleep in one, if they were more than 5' tall?

My neighbor had a new one, it sure was cramped. Great for midgets:waytogo:

I'm 6 foot flat. Sleeping was fine, but I touched on both ends. Was a squeeze if the wife was along, but that's the way I like it.

Looks like a really nice, clean Chalet.

Serial #0258 built 7/76. The annoying thing about it is that it was on an Olympia WA Craigslist ad only a couple of weeks earlier for $3500, owned by one of the members at our Yahoo Groups forum since mid 2006.

We have a dealer/seller, out to make a quick profitable flip.

I'll have to ask the previous guy what those big white circle things are for on the front part of the closet. He fabbed up a replacement metal bezel to go around the furnace outlet, the original plastic ones tend to crumble apart.

Those white plastic holders look like paper bowl / paper plate holders.

I hate it when they take a $3 can of spray paint and paint everything under the hood for two reasons.

1. I'd like to see just how it look.
2. They think they can raise the price 2k just because they sprayed over the rust.

I have the same metal bezel on mine, must have replaced the plastic.
As for sleeping, I'm 6ft 290lbs and have no problem even when my wife is with me.

... Sure wish some made it up here.. Id buy the camper part in a heartbeat for my k5
One did, serial #1121 was the camper unit-only at the Corvette Corner Auto Supply in Edmonton that had to be liquidated last Oct-November, I tried to alert some locals about it at the Saskatoon 4wd Association ( s4wda.com ), but there were no takers. A month later, a friend of the seller told me it had been crushed.

The one on the outside? Somebody else must have been frustrated with the crumbly plastic, mine was in serious need be being glued back together when I had it....

Sorry I thought you were referring to the inside grill. The outside bezel is plastic, luckly mine is still in one piece.

Were those things sold as a unit or was it just the camper part that you bought and installed?

I must say the wide angle lens makes that look awful roomy....

Sold as a unit. I guess we're not doing so good a job about pimping the Chalets as we used to :haha:

(I used to have 1.5 of them, and used to run the blazerchalet.com website.)

They aren't SMALL inside ... bigger than a Westie, say (err, the Volkswagen campers), but they aren't a full-size RV either.

I know where there is a pimped out camo one for sale close to Ft Worth if anybody is interested. :thumb:

Wasn't said chalet in utah many moons back?

I lived in mine in the oil patch...i'd plug into shore power and enjoy myself...

Seriously, how do you sleep 4 people in there? Shouldn't there be a bunk up in the top?

Oh, and how do they get such big photos on their craigslist?

Its kind of hard to tell, but there is cots on each side where the camper stops and top starts. They swing out, fold together and 2 SMALL people can sleep up there.
