In all the times I have been camping with Blazers, I never thought about this setup, pretty neat. Looks like I will have to try this out this summer. Hopefully I can get my tent to work with this.

Thanks

That's awesome! One of the reasons why I bought my Blazer is because a buddy of mine always camps in his. With his backseat removed and couple sleeping bags in the back, he has a really nice setup.

Hey, that's cool. I already have a few tents, but that's killer.

What's the tent brand or model...??

Thx.

I have seen those used on pickups with a camper shell on the back. I think you could get one from Cabela's or Bass Pro.

As a bonus, if your exhaust is done right you have heat in the winter.:D

That tent setup looks cool until it rains and "dry" turns to mud. Then it's time to sleep in the blazer.

digging up an old thread, because i would love to know what model specifically fits the k5, and if anyone sees any reason not to get this. I camp in the back, but would love to kick the dog out of bed and have her sleep in the tent portion.

The brand is sportz truck tent:
Napier sportz SUV 80000

If I have to go through the trouble of setting up a tent, I'm going to sleep in it! Damn blazer can get cold, rather sleep in a tent if it's set up. Just seems odd to me.

Actually I have been in both and the blazer was warmer than the tent.
