Happen to see this on ebay. Very clean and original but he wants too much $$$. Still a nice sight to see. I didn't know GM had those options.

Well then I guess you would never own something like that.. I guess some people just dont appreciate things like this, thats what it comes down to.

MMMMMM...454... I like that truck, just wish all that pinstriping was off of it. I think it takes away from the originality or it. Otherwise a very beautiful truck. Wish I could afford it.

believe me i appreciate it, but realisticly hes going to have a very hard time selling it for that much. people are just going to look at it and say "its jus an 86 1 ton truck..."

ive seen some really sweet built trucks on here go for almost nothing, doesnt seem right, but thats what the market is....

Ohh. I take back what I said.......I just noticed he's a car dealer. That automatically makes it worth much less, because it's embelished, I'm sure. Mileage probably isn't right either. Only 4 feedback too.....
$4-6k tops.

that is a nice looking 86 1ton but, i agree to dang much on that price..

I think he is a few thousand off, but I just paid $8700 for an 89 V3500 crew cab that needs some paint work and a little driveability work.

I think in the not too distant future, we will start seeing the prices for the type of trucks we like shooting up. especially for the 1-ton stuff. I never thought the day would come, but I have been hearing the term "rare" getting used more and more, when it comes to Chevy generation 1 and 2 trucks, which means the price of these trucks is going to shoot up eventually.

I agree with you, but generation 1 and 2 trucks? Are you confusing the K/5 Gen 1 & 2? Gen I of the trucks would be like 1915.:haha:

These trucks were (mostly) bought to do work. I don't know many people who buy brand new 1 ton 4x4s and don't drive them and use them for shows. Besides that, many are being parted out for the drivetrain. So yeah, they are rarer nowadays, but...it's only an 86. 16.5K?

Also, if the toolbox with fridge, tonneau cover, and pinstripes are factory options, then I am most likely Richard Milhouse Nixon. Dealer...maybe. And the fridge is still a stretch at that.

Thats odd...

Seller doesn't understand "factory" vs "dealer."

As others have pointed out, while the add-ons could well have been there at time of purchase, the truck didn't leave Jamesville (the factory) with them. The dealer did this after the fact.

Out here in CA we have a few dealers who are putting big tires and lifts on trucks from the get-go ... does that make them factory with 35"s? I think not.

Fridge toolbox. Lawdy, what WILL they think of next?

Yeah, I think it is.

I will be making on offer on this truck.

Some people look at it as an 86' truck. For a real enthusiast and collector, there is ample appreciation for the condition and outright rarity of this vehicle.

If I do purchase it, I will be removing the pinstripes however :)

More to come.

xyzzy.
