My 88 K5 seems to not have the option of putting the ignition in the acc position (usually one click back from off position)

Is this normal is something a miss in my column?

Mine only goes when the key/steeringwheel is in the perfect position. Its there, but gets used so little that as the key wears, it doesnt allow it to turn back.

Mine will roll all the way back to ACC no problem. Add that with the fact you can remove the key in any position, and I have left myself a dead truck several times.

The key removal problem is often just worn keys. Sometimes is worn keys and switch....but normally just keys.

Seems like an easy fix to me.

There is a problem of some sort in your column. The key should turn backwards for accessory position. Your problem could be as easy as a misadjusted ignition though.

I've just recalibrated my brain to make sure it's in the off position. That is not a fix I'm worried about, lol

On my 91 I have to push in a little and only then can I turn it to ACC.
