No aftermarket support

Why is there very little aftermarket support for Fullsize rigs (from blazers to silverado pickups, to monster Dodge Duallies)

My 4 wheelparts catalog for jeeps is hundreds of pages long and my fullsize catalog (which mysteriously has jeep stuff in it) is like 70 pages of generic stuff like lifts, and tires and interior stuff, where as jeeps have lifts, tires, steering, interior, exterior, performance, security, stinger bumpers etc.

I know theres the tire gate (but who has $1000 just to mount a tire)

where are the stinger bumpers for fulsize rigs, and cages, and all the custom offroad stuff ....(again i know there is ORD etc. but thats a limited market--which doesnt apply to silverados much-- nothing like jeeps)

Got me, I wish our market was as saturated as the heep market is. I cant look at a magazine, catalog , or turn on TV without it being Jeep this Jeep that. On occasion they will toss in a toyota or something odd.

yeah it pisses me off....

I cant justify buying a jeep of any age.. Jeeps are for girls and guys whwo like to play with small objects..

Road Armor Bumper are nice, but there heavy and cost alot.. Id like to get some sort of tube stinger bumper that has the high hoops, and no one makes them around here.

Id also like tube fenders and bed braces (from the frame through the bed to the cab)

no one makes this stuff and i dont have fab equipment

Find a race car shop or 4x4 shop. just about anyone with a tube bender and welder can make what you want. In some cases you get a better product cuz they build it specific to your truck. That is what I did with my front bumper. The rear bumper I bought, I like it but the shop I got it from was a real douche.

We have quality built parts for our rigs. Sh1t will take abuse with a smile. You aren't going to find that in a 4WP magazine. I wouldn't put any of that stuff on my truck. Because the supply is small, we pay more for our fullsize parts, especially with shipping, but we also get a little bit of specialized competition between the builders like WFO, ORD, DIY, Ruff Stuff, etc etc to supply us with what is needed.

Ive used Ruff stuffs axle swap kits and its pretty burly stuff. , they have all the little things which is great. anf the other companies have great stuff..

Who does fender tubes..premade for 2005 Silverado? hell heeps have 10 different types in a generic catalog

Something like that I would be looking at the Desert Pre-Runner stuff for a '05 chubby

Its a simple numbers game. I have done a little ( feeble) market research and Jeeps are by a large margin the most modified 4x4, the reason you see so many bumpers is because after wheels and tires bumpers are the next thing on a Jeepers list.

Just learn to make it yourself. Premade every part like is available for jeeps are for yuppies.

That way you get a part that you want, and the satisfaction of building it yourself. And then you don't have to worry about 3000 other trucks with the same cool bumper as you

I'm glad there aren't massive catalogs. Then every blazer would be running around the same like the jeep guys. So bland and unoriginal for the typically daily drivers. Even better for the first gen blazers that have almost no support. Even the 01+ GMs have a decent aftermarket.

i ust dont have the tools or fab experience to make it myself

One of the things I like most about wheeling a fullsize rig or generally anything other than a jeep is that you can't get every thing for it in the after market. I take pride and get more enjoyment out of my hard work and ideas rather than the mass produced predesigned parts I can buy.

There was a ton of aftermarket support for our rigs, back when they were newer.

Now it's all new truck stuff and of course, Jeeps.

Well i like to wheel and use my skill and not the equipment but i also dont want my sheetmetal banged up. so some protection and other recovery and improvements are gunna be needed (not all at once)

Most catalog **** is junk anyway. You're never going to find the aftermarket support for a jeep on any other vehicle in the US. Hell internationally the only thing that comes closer is the Land Cruiser/toy support in australia and the Land Rover support in the UK.

Well alot of stuff isnt any good, but you would think at least someone already makes something thats decent

This forum actually has a full vendor section with several vendors that produce fullsize friendly aftermarket parts.

Pretty much all of these vendors are for older chevy's and 90's chevys not much for mid 2000's chevy silverados.
