Well, it turns out my left side brake light and blinker has stopped working:mad: and I don't know why, the bulb is good, replaced it anyways.

When I hook a voltmeter up to the blinker wire in the back, I am only getting 0.05 volts :confused:instead of 12.

Does anyone know what could be causing this,:dunno: I need to get this fixed so that I don't get a ticket:deal:

Any help would be greatly appreciated:bow::bow:

Oh yeah its for an 86:k5:

If it's both turn and brake, I say bad ground. Check continuity from the bulb ground to the frame ... betcha something's corroded. I foresee some emery cloth in your future.

I am going with bad ground or flasher problem, I have had some weird problems that replacing the flasher fixed

I have had problems just as such. Mine ended up being some loose and or broken wires in the rear harness assembly. Also had to replace the brake switch under the pedal.
Was wierd and once after every off road trip it still happens but it is because I did not replace the harness just repaired so it breaks or cracks in other spots. Good Luck

update

Well so far have chased it back to the firewall:smirk:, and it gets more voltage, the further i go back, at the firewall where the harness is, it is getting 6v:eek1:, so I will continue inside the truck I guess

Mine was doing that and it was a pain.

Had to open up the steering column and where the wires go into the turn signal housing one rear signal wire has come loose.

Yeah everything works now, ended up being a bad wire underneath the truck, so I just cut it from a good point and ran a new wire back from there, and the hazard light fuse blew somewhere during that, but all works now
thanks for all the help
