okay so yesterday on my 81 blazer I was installing a new stereo. The previous owner hacked up stereo wiring I was trying to find constant power for the new stereo and did At the cigarette lighter. But my stupidity I shorted it out and now I have no constant power power door locks, the headlights, cigarette lighter and anything else around zone constant power is not working. I have checked all the fuses on the kick panel and nothing is popped and now I'm stuck. Tomorrow I'm supposed to drive the truck from the high desert down the San Diego to see how it does on long-distance drives before next week when I'm supposed to drive out to Missouri and I am completely frustrated. Could someone help.

wow, how can all that stuff be connected????? WTF

what else isn't working? You may have a fried wire somewhere before the fuse panel. Did you check continuity on the fuses or just eyeball them. And yes, I'm shootin in the dark. You can make that trip with plenty of light to spare :) so at least the headlights wont give you problems. Sweating to death, well.....

check for power at the junction block on the firewall above the ds valve cover.. if no power there, check the fusable links down at the starter..
