Well finally got my fuel pump on. I am now getting no fuel to the carb or the fuel pump. I replaced it with a new one and still nothing. Will this affect the fuel pump getting fuel? I am using 5/16 fuel line instead of 3/8. Autozone did not have the 3/8 and the guy told me I would be fine with 5/16. I also still have the blazer on jacks all level on each side. Would this affect the blazer from fuel getting from the gas tank to the fuel pump? All it does is crank but won't crank over. I pulled the fuel line going to the carb and no gas at all. Also dry in the fuel pump and lines. Please help I need to get this truck off the side of my house. Wife says no more spending on the blazer for a little while. The gift card I got for christmas is now gone. :doah:

Was the fuel line empty from the tank to the pump???

keep trying...

check for dirty tank, clogged lines, some trucks have a filter under the frame, or maybe your filter (the one after the pump, is you have one, id clogged)

Have an inline fuel filter that is new. Other than that I don't think there is another filter that I have seen. I will double check again. Thanks

they have it under the frame right after the gas tank, or use your compresor and put some air in the hose to clean it out.

the other thing id do is to unplug the outgoing line from the pump and pump a finger on top and have someone else crank the engine you should feell the pressure.

If any of the rubber lines are cracked it will never draw fuel in which has happened to our 74. Try dumping a bit fuel down the carb several times to get the engine to run for a few seconds, the mass revs compared to just the starter might get things primed and going.

I know i just mentioned it in the other thread of yours but if you got the lines on wrong the return will not pump fuel out.

They are so close to the same size on my first truck i never noticed the difference. :doah:

Just a thought

Thanks Randy92782 I had the lines wrong. :doah:Nice to hear the 350 fire up again. Now have to get the transmission linkage right with the new 700r4 and I will be set.

What are the odds. I was sooo pissed when i couldn't figure that out i gave up for about 2 days. Then my dad came out and noticed it. Never even thought of it :dunno:

I felt like an idiot so i always mark one of them to know the difference ;)
