Due to a family emergency with my buddy who was gonna line up my gears I'm not gonna be able to get him to put them in for a while so, I was wondering if I can just slap the spindles and what not on my D44 to take it for a test drive tomorrow once I get the rocker arms set?

It seems to me that it's not gonna bother a thing to drive it without the front gears and axles in, but I figured some of y'all on here might know the answer to that better than me.

Put towels in at the hub seal, where the shaft would normally be, to keep dirt out of the hub. But otherwise you're fine.

thanks man that's what I figured. My neighbors are prob gonna be a little POed tomorrow when I go driving thru the neighborhood with open headers, but hell, I gotta do it sometime
