I appreciate the input. Sounds like I need to remove the spacers!
And you might be right, the bend on the bottom of my shifter might give me a little more clearance after I remove drop spacers.
The original shifter stick wasn't a problem at all, but I rebuild entire shifter myself, since hurst wouldn't touch it and replaced the bayonet style stick lever for the bolt on type with a new stick, and it changed a few things. Believe that's why the hurst boot, showed in the previous pictures would not work. There was too much pressure on the stick in 1st and 3rd and it would pop it back out of gear.
Seems like there isn't many of these trannies around at all.
