Dropping it is usually a last ditch effort. Try raising it back up and seeing how it works.

Yes, I understand lowering t-case reduces front driveline angles but also improves rear. I have 2 1/2" spacers for t-case, maybe I will remove one and see how it is with a half inch drop.
Another reason The drop helped was for my shifter, it's very close to the front of the shifter hole in the front gears. The pic is the trans in 1st. Scared without the drop, it will hit. Maybe not though. How many out there are running a 4" lift with no t-case drop?

And I meant 2 spacers in all the bolts that are 1/2 inch long each. Not 2 and a half inch long! Didn't want anyone to freak out on me

I've run my T-case dropped, as a last ditch situation. Wasn't even my drive line angles, it was rear drive shaft length that made me do it. When the 5.3 went in the T-case cheat went away. I just got my drive shaft lengthened. Looking at your shifter pic I'd say raising the T-case isn't gonna hurt a thing there...

I appreciate the input. Sounds like I need to remove the spacers!
And you might be right, the bend on the bottom of my shifter might give me a little more clearance after I remove drop spacers.
The original shifter stick wasn't a problem at all, but I rebuild entire shifter myself, since hurst wouldn't touch it and replaced the bayonet style stick lever for the bolt on type with a new stick, and it changed a few things. Believe that's why the hurst boot, showed in the previous pictures would not work. There was too much pressure on the stick in 1st and 3rd and it would pop it back out of gear.
Seems like there isn't many of these trannies around at all.

I dropped mine per the instructions, but quickly put it back. My front driveshaft was contacting the crossover pipe. I also don't have angle issues though, driving a suburban and all. I also ditched the wedges from the leafs because it made the transfer case output and axle yoke non-parallel. I added an EZ inch in its place. That wedge also keeps oil away from the pinion unless you add more.

I definitely think it would help from getting the shifter "pressed" out of gear by the boot...

I don't have a crossover pipe so no worries there. Also, a suburban is way longer than a blazer! Your driveshaft angle wont be as bad.
Not too worried about starving the pinion for oil, it's not going to see much road. I've had it for 10 years but just now getting it going. I do snow removal at the Louisville airport, so I have to drive an hour into town whenever the snow hits. Will be glad to have the blazer this year, my 2wd ranger made for a scary ride the past few!
The blazer is just going to be my farm/snow/hunting rig. Maybe haul my canoe to the river a few times a year.
