Last weekend I was out wheeling and had a cut wire that shorted and the engine died. We did some messing and was able to get it running but never could get it to idle. Then I let it die one time and it would never work after that. Now I have no power to the fuel pump. I am looking for starting points or ideas on what could be going on. It is on a TBI motor. I have been tracing wires trying to figure something out but nothing yet.

Check you fuel pump relay wiring, make sure you are getting juice to both wires. You can tell what wire goes to which item by reading the schematic.

Actually I was messing with that tonight and it seemed like there was no power to the orange wire of the relay. That would be the hot I think according to the digram in the Haynes book.
