I've been in possession of my ex's 4x for 3.5 years now. It's been doa for 5 years.

I'm gonna throw her frame & drive train, along with my new motor under my 2x.

I was gonna repair it for her, but she was such a pig to me after I gave her the freakin' house and the good vehicle that she finally pissed me off.

Fwiw, the motor is a new gm vortec #12530282. I will be adding the Edelbrock tbi/multipoint conversion kit. I've had both for the last 5 years.

My rig is carbed, so it should be interesting.

This is a great website. I've done tons of reading and have filled in most all the blanks of the tbi conversion, as well as alot of other just general details.

You don't say ex- wife or girlfriend.

Since the rig has been yours for the past 5 years, keep it. You don't have any moral obligation to fix or repair anything for her. She's just used you for free storage.

Find a way to get the title from her and keep it for yourself. If you don't want it, sell it to recover some funds. There are legal ways to obtain titles.

She has no real interest in it, other than being a pain in my back side.

I just want the frame & running gear.

My tranny went out & I need to make it run. I plan on putting in a 14b/d60 down the road, but I just need to get mine up.

I was going to just throw "her" tranny (fresh rebuilt) & t-case under mine.

Then I got tired of her crap. She ain't using it, I need it so....

As far as the title, I don't need or want the body so it will go to it's final resting place when I'm done.

Everything else will go towards "storage" fees.....wink, wink!
 
I'm assuming you or her aren't paying for tags or taxes on it anymore either?

If it were me, I'd strip it down, quietly, and just keep what I'd want and scrap the rest. If she questions about it, then I'd tell her you junked it because of city violation codes. If your name was on the title, then you have every right to do as you please with it.

I was either going to do the code thing or just play dumb. I.E., whatta you talking about? You didn't come & get it? Jeez, I don't know where it is...:dunno::whistle:

I don't believe she's been paying taxes or anything on it. I haven't been.

I thought @ charging her storage if she decides to get stupid @ it.:haha:

I'm not looking to profit from this situation. I just want to get what I need from it.

Looks like there are some CK5'ers nearby. Maybe I can help some Brothers & Sisters out & just donate the "leftovers". I'll put out some feelers when the time is right.

I wouldn't say one word to her. I'd just go ahead and do as I please with it and move on with life.

If you don't feel safe doing this, you can always give her the option to come and get the rig, as is, and get it off your property "because the city has added to your taxes for junk/clunker laws" and you don't want to pay any more taxes than you need to. She should see this as something she wouldn't want on her property, too, and may just give up on the rig and let you have it with no hassles.

But if your name is on the title, I'd just go ahead and strip it down. Just do it quietly and let her find out on her own.
 
yea, do the ''i thought you had came and got it! i came home it was gone, i assumed you had been here and got it...thought maybe you sold it & the buyers hauled it away"(if she knows that you knew she had no way to haul it away within a couple of hrs while you were at the mall or went missing when you went fishin all day
