No reverse lights?

Allright guys, swapped in a floor shifter in place of my column shifter, and everything came out fine, except, now I have no reverse lights? And there isn't anything mentioned in those "great" directions. So I'm sure someone else has ran into this problem. How do i fix it? I need reverse lights to pass inspection next week. HELP! Btw its a 700r4.

Oh and if I just went with some say aftermarket 55 watt back up lights that you see out there, wired into a switch, would that pass as backup lights? Thanks,

I think in Washington the switch idea would work. My friend had a yota (before he rolled it) with a switch leading to his reverse lights. When he was being tailgated (usually on the freeway) he would flip them on-- POOF! No tailgaters! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
