No spark.

I have a 1990 Jimmy with a stock 350. I'm stopped at a stop light the other day and the truck just dies. I get it towed home and start working on it. Turns out I'm getting no spark to my plugs. I stick a wire in one of the plug wires and hold the other end near the frame and no spark when the motor is turned over. I replace the coil and the truck fires right up runs for about a minute then dies. It won't restart and I'm getting no spark again when I stick a wire in the plug boot. Any ideas?

one thought I have is to check and verify that you have a solid 12 volts to the coil. Is it intermittant( 12 volts)?

Got it, bad ignition module.
