Hey guys,
The glorious PO did not find it necessary to install an indicator on the timing cover, so I can only set timing by ear right now. I bout a timing cover kit from summit with new gaskets, cover, and indicator. Should I install the whole shebang when doing the indicator, or can I just unbolt two bolts and throw the indicator on. If it all heeds to come off for the indicator, I might as well do it all.

What is involved in this?

Thanks!

Yes you can just remove the 2 bolts and install the indicator. Is the cover leaking? If not I wouldn't touch it right now if all you really want to do is time it. Total replacement of the so called Whole Shabang is a fairly big job.
