Brakes are way over rated anyway, all the do is tend to slow you down. :haha:
The was my motto while working in wilwood's R&D dept., "Brakes only slow you down." Wonder if that's part of why I no longer work there......

Well i got a brainstorm this afternoon. I goto the wrecking yard at least 3 times a week. Well today they just wheeled out a 77 seville, so of coarse i will grab the calipers tommorow, but i'm also going to get the m/c and the p-valve. If i put that on my blazer it should be the perfect combo.
In theory

i got the hydro boost brakes w/i got my k30 parts truck, will it work w/these propotion valves? is it worth the effort to put hydro on or do a 3/4 or 1 ton vacuume boost, vette mc, and new 4 wheel disk truck p-valve or 1 of these shown. i wanted to not have to worry about vacuum on this motor, guess i could get a canister

woh! this post was over a year old, I also have a hydro boost, but i never put it on. I still have the 1/2 ton booster but i am changing it out for a 1 ton booster as soon as i start driving it again.

Somthing about a powersteering pump going out and losing both steering and brakes together bothers me.

Modern H-B units have an accumulator. It's the anodized cylinder on them. Whole point of them is to store some PS fluid under pump pressure so that you still have boosted brakes for 1-2 stops.

At first, I wanted to mount the adjustable prop valve under the hood, next to the MC. I found that it is hard to find anything with the same fittings that the MC and stock combo valve have. The little "knob"-type adjustable ones like Wildwood sells have the same fittings as the rear brake hose, so I ended up mounting mine under the truck, above the rear axle.
