I've gone through a few different pairs of mechanics gloves now that I guess were polyester or some material that starts melting when grinder sparks hit them. I've tried most of the home depot type gloves.

Anyone have a link to leather gloves that are a slimmer fit than the normal "gardening" or "construction" gloves?

I'm not sure how non-flammable they are but I have some gloves that were given to me at a job site and they say cut resistant steel kevlar on them. You might want to do a search and see what you come up with. These are very slim and snug fitting gloves.

I believe these are the exact gloves. http://www.uline.com/BL_1368/Ninja-Max-Coated-Gloves

I wear these, for ANYTHING sharp/hot....

They're a bit "bulkier" than mechanics gloves;
But once you get them worn in, they're a nice 'thicker/fireproof' mechanic-type glove.
