Just got 78 k5, Is there a good faq anyone knows of. Are there any other good forums for beginners?

Thanks
Joe

the ck5 garage forum is fine for beginers, what do you want to know? :) If you have specific questions, searching the forums is your best bet. If searches don't yield anything, post the question and we'll be glad to help. Thats what CK5 is all about.

You're on the best K5 site in the universe....anything you want to know has probably already been answered! :thumb: The "search" function is in the upper right corner of the message forums (it works well) and there are quite a number of other sections to this site (see links posted above) for doing general research.

Take some time and look around...you'll be amazed what you can find here.

Yes this is the best.
but here are some others.
pirate4x4.com
k5crawler.com
austink5.net

Thanks for the help guys, other forums aren't always so freindly.

Is there a guide anywhere to what engines, trans, t-cases work?
I know nothing about the differences in the years of v-8s.
My k-5 has a 305 that has to go, what 350's will work?

not just best k5 site, best chevy truck site. I unfortunately have never owned a K5, mine is a k30, and this site has been invaluable! Well worth the membership cost! Oh and if you want some Big Block power you just have to swap the motor mounts. Chevys are great in that almost all upgrades are just bolt ons.

That is so true. Everytime I think I have some oddball problem or question that has never been brought again, I'm wrong. If you do a search first, you'd be surprised at what you can find answers too.

Heck I gave up posting jokes or other funnies in the Lounge. Everytime I thought I had a new one, it had already been posted 2 monthes ago.
