noob Q:starter heat shield install

I've never had or needed a heat shield on my starter before and didn't even realize I had one lying around the garage.Now that I have and need it,how does it go on?pics would be great if you got 'em.Thanks in advance.

Most starters have a studed bolt that runs through the starter end cap. Just slip the shield over those studs and install some nuts to hold it on.
