Well, I wanna move the tachometer in my truck to the colum, its currently on the dashboard and the P.O, but the tach where when driving straight you cant see it. now the thing is there is no more wire. I heard you cant just add wire with connecters. Is that true?

Yep, they just use standard wire, so you can easily add some more wire. Just make sure your crimps are tight. I highly recommend some shrink tubing over the connections as well. Just a little peace of mind.

The problem with solder is that it eliminates the flex capability of the wire. It makes it solid in the solder joint, which means that it is pretty easy to break the connection.

^^ That's true but there's still plenty of wire to give you flexibility.

Solder and heat shrink tubing is the way to go IMO.

twist the wires together and wrap with black electrical tape.:D:D

or you could go with the solder and heat shrink
