Ok, here is the noob question for the day.........

I have a trani leak, I can see that is is leaking from what I assume would be the "tv cable"?? It is right next to the cooling lines on the front passenger side towards the bottom if that helps.

1. How do I tell what the transmission is by looking at it? I have heard "700r??" talked about on here but I need to confirm before I get any parts for it.

2. What should I replace? Do I replace the gasket at the transmission or should I replace the whole cable?

3. Where would the masses say to get the parts? Is this an auto zone thing or should I go with a more reputable place like Summit or someone like that? Does it matter?

4. Any pointers would be nice? Remember, I don't really know crap about this stuff so type slow and use small words :whistle:

What's the pan look like?
