In a 1974 Blazer with 5.7, with OEM manual oil gauge, what range should the oil pressure be in?

This is what the oil gauge face looks like:

It consistently goes to 60 when I go a little above idle.

It idles at 30.

I replaced the copper tube not long ago. I can't remember if I changed out the oil gauge or not...bad memory.

It makes me nervous when it hits 60.

The specs on my GM performance parts crate 350 say 20 psi at 2,000 RPM, at operating temperature.

15 minimum at idle, probably only see 45-50 for and original GM engine of that era

rebuilt engines consistently run about 30 at idle, upwards to 60/80 max

Mine sits above 45, most of the time closer to 60. It drops a bit when I need to change oil, but still above 40.

Mine is pretty close to yours with a High Volume/Standard Pressure oil pump (about 50 or 60 cold, about 30 at idle when warmed up, and 40 at cruising speed).

Mine has risen a little since the oil cooler was reinstalled. While the oil cooler was disabled pressure would be below 40 warmed up

Mine’s high a.f. I cannot remember if it’s always been this high or not but, it Pegs the gauge over 60. I do know all the bearing clearances are on the tight side and it has a Melling pump.

Back in the day peeps would put a flat washer behind the pressure relief spring. I might have done this once.
Was a favorite of my Uncle, he got my step dad's model A's 327 so high it would blow out oil filters if rev'ed cold.
Current pump in my motor is Melling z28 replacement part.
So high volume standard pressure. When volume is increased pressure will go up.
