what is normal procedure after a wheeling trip?....as far as maintenence goes

I usually hose everything down and then do a damage check. I check all fluids and air filter. I usually re-torque my suspention components and my intake manifold since I redid the suspention and new intake too. I will sometimes run some of that carb/fuel system cleaner stuff that goes through your fuel tank that promisies better milage but it doesn't deliver on that empty promise.

Oh and air up my tires

Also depends on how deep and hard you pushed your rig too.

All of the above items, plus:

Re-grease all greaseable items under the truck - tierod ends, draglink ends, u-joints, spring bushings, etc.

Check ALL fluids, change if milky/dirty/burnt (this means T-case and axles, too).

Look at stuff that should be straight - if it's bent, fix it.

Check tire pressure.

Check/replace air filter. Cheap insurance...

As already stated, some of these things are dependent on where and how you 'wheel.

I wait until the last minute before the next trip,
work my arse off to get ready to go. As long as it has all 4 wheels.

your not going to be going on anything too crazy. i park by my neighbors house and just spray the underside. dont need all that dirt on my driveway. quick visual check

That really depends on what you do. After a ttrail ride I may or may not wsh it. After mud, I have to pressure wash it top to bottom and change/grease almost everything. After rock crawling, I check for bent stuff and change the air filter.

Look at stuff that should be straight - if it's bent, THINK ABOUT fixING it.

First thing I do is put the left over beer in the fridge , and empty the ice out of the cooler .

Then if nothing is broke , I don't do anything until the next wheeling trip . We get back late Sunday and too beat to work . I do go over everything before a trip :D

Left over beer..... hmm. what a concept, I've never seen any.:D And check your shock bolts/nuts, 'specially the rear top mounts.

Colby, can ya link the gentleman from New Hamp-shi-ah to the thread/poll "What color is....":haha:
That exact color scheme netted me approximately 1/.000024 % more sex appeal. Thats with respect to Jeeps, of course.
