July 22nd I led a group of 7 rigs up North Meadow Creek Trail. We stopped at a cool meadow and hiked to a small unnamed pond that had a lot of frogs and Lilly pads. The kids and adults in the group really enjoyed the Frogs. My stepson got a bloody nose from the higher elevation but did not care much because it was his first time seeing wild frogs all over the place.
When we got the the technical part of the trail, Uncle Dave in a Black Jeep had his front drive shaft come off because it was not long enough.
Garrett in the Ford Ranger slid partly down the mountain, got some passenger side damage and blew a window and had to be winched up.
Both of my 8’ CB whips that I had on for 15 years finally broke off on the tight trail vegetation and I got some front passenger side damage somehow.
Uncle Dave’s Nephew in the Green Jeep Cherokee ran into a tree and messed up his driver front headlight, trim and fender.
At the Trail End… Cliff Lake, My stepson caught 40 fish and the biggest one was caught by Joe and his son.
It got late so because we all had a blast fishing, we rushed down and went home.
