NOS GM door only $700.00

not for 700 bucks with the damage it has on lower panel area .

i like my gm stuff but not that price point for condition .

That's the price 67-72 NOS doors go for. I could see someone spending 3-400 on a damage free 73+ one. 700 just seems high when there are still decent OEM doors pit there to be found without much hassel.

Too much for me. That's just greed.
Nothing worse than that.
I bought an NOS Blazer tailgate for 400.00 and that rubbed me wrong.

No dice. Good quality used doors are widely available and cheap. The only part that should merit a price that high is something rare and tough to find.

Also the parr # listed was for later models

Sure. Just weld up the extra holes in the door for the interior door panels if your using the 73-76 door panels.
Vent windows vary but will all work.

Do you know what would be needed for a 78 so that the interior parts work with a later door?

78 panels will fit the later doors fine.

73-76 panels are not as tall. They do not require the extra holes in the later doors.

I have 86 doors with the 77-80 panels installed no issues.

so I was noticing some doors (78 and up) have an extra piece of reinforcing metal in the trailing edge of the door....seems to be a factory thing I'm thinking as I have seen some with the GM stickers on the doors still. In the second pic, the door on the left has the extra strip of metal on the back edge goes up to where the shadow is on the door.

I've seen that question somewhere before.

Don't recall what the explanation was or if there was one.

Could be just redesigned for better water drainage at the bottom of the door edge.

it was probably me who brought it up....I've just been trying to determine what some ways are to tell aftermarket from OEM.
That reinforcement piece looks to be in the OEM door listed in the OP. Gotta zoom in quite a bit, but I think its there.
