Not a fan of chrome really but this looks fun

I wonder if that is the same stuff that was featured on "Counting Cars" a while back ?...

I've use a paint a local store sold made by "Magic"brand, that was called "Closest to Chrome",and it was--I used it on some peeling bumpers and it was a very close match, also on some steel rims..

there's a crazy one i saw on FB.. i thought that's what this would be.. maybe someone will post it..

this stuff you just slather a big runny coat on with a house brush.. :yikes: and it all just starts self -leveling and turns into perfect chrome.. freaky... i'll look around...

edit - here it is...

tinting could be interesting.. reminds me of when we used to make our own custom spray-on window tint...

Well I mean color tint the chrome I. E. Black chrome. How could you see through the paint on your windows?

i understood, seen the black....

you tint car clear and spray the windows....

Almost as spendy as real chrome FFS!! That brush on kit is $200 and does 20 sq ft.

wow, did not see that part.. :yikes: i just thought that vid was pretty impressive on my FB feed... :haha:

I thought it was impressive too...which was why I was looking at pricing. Yikes!

I've used a regular spray on chrome with good results. Trick was to spray on real thick to the near running point. When it dried you could see reflections in it but it looked sorta hazy. Still good enough to see basic features of your face and all your surroundings. Then wait a couple days and use flitz polish. Wasn't exactly a mirror but was pretty impressive for a $6 spray can. I think an actual buffer would have made it as close as you can get.
