On 3/29 at 8:16pm I placed an order for some front shocks. ORD's web cart does not play nice with my Mozilla Firefox. I had been shopping with out being logged in. When I logged in to complete my purchase other items were in my cart. I had nothing but trouble removing the items I wasn't ready to purchase, including front shocks I no longer wanted. Every time I tried to remove items the whole cart would empty, and or would log me out. With much frustration I was able to complete my purchase, only I had purchased the wrong shocks. I used the ORD contact form at 11:16pm on 3/39, to let them know I had order the wrong part number and the correct part number I needed. The next morning I received a reply "I got that corrected, thanks for letting us know!" great all is good.
Got home yesterday to find my shocks had arrived only to find that are the part number I did not want. I replied to the contact form that the wrong parts were sent yesterday noon mountain time, so far nothing, nada. This the second time I have received the wrong parts, the first was the front springs I just installed, I order TC EZ ride and got TC HD.

I know you all are going to tell to call them, well I have called them to order in the past and that wasn't a stellar experience either. Plus if you phone order those orders are not linked to your online account, and I can not look back and see what I ordered. I have to search my emails for order history, and you would not believe the amount of non ORD emails the "Offroad Design" search string returns.

I want to support businesses that support our hobby, but I can't be throwing money away esp the shipping cost are killer. Very disappointed, and in the future I am going to shop around.

I understand not calling to place an order but I would call in this case, I’ve never had an issue getting things resolved with a call, on a side note I will say that with the amount of places offering free shipping it’s getting harder and harder to support those that don’t.

This is the dimensions I wanted, and $24.00 cheaper each. Plus I get free shipping with Amazon, that is a $75.00 savings. I chose ORD be cause they are supposed to be special valving for our trucks. IDK if the valving is any different than the ORD offers, ifaik it's an urban legend the shocks are valved for our trucks. I would think a shock for K5 would need different specs than the same size for k20 suburban. I didn't remember if ORD asked what I was putting them on so I just tried to order them again, guess what same f-ing cart issues I had before, add item to cart, log in, go to check out, says I am not logged in, login again from check screen, no items in my cart. This is beyond ridiculous. If I can't use Mozilla Firefox on a web site guess what I don't go there. I made Synchrony Bank send a bill snail mail, there web site will not let me login. They won't fix it. Is Discount Tires cc bank, and the 0 interest is the perk that has me using it, I mean free money. as a Boomer I have checks.

At KOH I spoke with Bilstein rep, we had a nice talk. I brought up ORD, he did know ORD and mentioned Steve to me. So maybe the Bilstein ORD sells are different, than those at Amazon or Summit, both of hows sites never give my browser issues.

Just heard back from ORD

They are going to make it right. Faith restored, a little.

"Hi Mike,

I apologize for the error. We are switching systems and that change got overwritten. I will send UPS to pick up the incorrect package and I will send out the correct shocks today. Again, sorry for the error. Please let me know if you have any questions."

The valving is better suited to these trucks. From what I understand and the reason I got bilsteins from ORD

I have ordered a few wrong items from them online and the email function they have worked well enough to rectify it.

I'd like to add that their website is less than ideal for ordering and even worse for searching for specific items. It would be nice for an updated ORD website. Maybe it's me but when I'm after something their site is highly irritating but I push through that bs so I can support them.

All better now. Got the parts I really wanted, pretty dam quick too.

I just put the same shocks on my parents Suburban last weekend, I was back and forth on which way to mount them.

My thinking is that water and muck will collect in the boots and pit the shafts.
