I went in and cut the wheel with my window down... like a typhoon of crap mud flew in hit me in the face, on my arm and right in my lap... plus I got the hammer down and couldnt see so had to hit the wipers.... and stop.. then nail it again.... twas a nice day....

group of guys from NJFOURWHEELERS.COM

damage wasnt bad...
Jeep blew a hub
Blazer (s10) lost his electric fans on our way out... so had to rewire... thanks to jeep family...
I broke my snorkel.. seems that I hit a stick and shattered the grill part.... oh well...
RamCharger took on water and needed an on trail oil change...
so all in all not bad.....

had a really nice day out there. was nice meeting some new faces. and that pic of mopar in the brush looks like his impersonation of big mike taking a dump  mopar had to pull a tree out of the way for us to get around. then rootbreaker lived up to his name and held the trunk for mo to get around.

That S-10 look sweet set up like that! :cool1:

The muddin' looks a lot like some of my Florida wheelin' trips from ages ago. I always hated washing that swamp funk off later. :doah:

The exploded Jeep hub is pretty common when playing in the rocks. I guess it acts as a fuse to protect the weenie Dana 30 front end. The gears inside one of those look like toys.

Looks like you had a great day of playin'! :thumb:

you wash your truck???
it should rain here soon... :haha:

Nice pics, looks like yall had a blast. Nothing like other people breaking stuff.

Looks like fun! If I were to be in that group you can bet I would be the one broke down or stuck in the middle of one of those icey mud holes:haha:

Yep, that's the only way to keep a '75 mostly rust free.

maybe in CO

I dont wash mine at all... hardly any rust on my 78... surface rust coming through the primer... waiting to do a crew cab swap next year (just got postponed) but then alot of sanding then paint..... even then.. once a perdy blue goes on the truck..... not going to wash nor worry bout scratches :haha:

Plenty of rocks up in northern NJ, but all you rebels are scared of the yankee's.:haha:

Sorry, I've gotta call BS on that one, unless you never drive on the roads in the winter. I've lived in that part of the world and seen what road salt does to vehicles around there. :yikes: ONE winter in Massachusetts got the '75 rusting so fast that you could almost see the difference from day to day. :doah:

Rust isn't much of a problem in CO. It's DRY and they don't use hardly any road salt here. We depend mostly on solar snow and ice removal. :) It's pretty difficult to find any serious mud here as well...

ya can call it how ya wish.. my truck is a habosh of parts...

87 front clip - 0 rust
1982 cab (only small hole when ya open the drivers door on the rocker
1979 tailgate - 0 rust
1982 bed - only rust is on the passenger side bed panel behind the rear wheel.. I cut the rust out and put my fender flare there....

hmm looking at it the only thing left in my truck as a 1978 is the drivetrain :haha:

even parts of that is 1986 (hydro clutch)
1991 caprice police motor

GOD SO HARD TO REMEMBER THIS STUFF...

but gotta remember my truck sat from 1997 to about 2004... even with a busted wing window and no covering the cab floor is 100% solid..... I dunno why but hellz I dont care....... :wink1:
