finally getting spark now. started for a few seconds with starting fluid. i can hear the fuel pump in the tank. power to the injectors. still learning about this tbi

what could i be missing? thanks

Would suspect fuel pressure (pump, lines, etc) as a problem if it will run on starting fluid and you can hear the pump.

Jumper the red lead off the fuel pump relay to the battery + and see if it will start then. I doubt it, but easy and cheaper than the more likely problems.

Sorry, on TBI unsure of where the relay is. From what I've seen it's a black plastic oval piece. Should be a red wire without anything connected to it, hanging off the connector.

thanks for the link. look pretty simple. could i make a a set of them?

I never tried to make a substitute noid light. I don't know? Maybe you can borrow a noid light? The noid light test takes less than 10 seconds per injector to do.

You can buy those lights at napa and autozone. Just plug in to injector plug. If they flash when cranking, you have power to injectors.

Late, but make one out of a dash bulb. Solder or twist small gauge wires to each wire lead off the bulb, and stick one of each wires into one of each wires on the injector connector, then crank.

Voltmeters don't respond fast enough. You can check for voltage (each injector should have one 12V constant with key in run) with a meter but that's about it, as the ground wire is the one that the ECM pulses.
